"Randolph is Talking" to Talk About Blogging at Asheboro Public Library
Mark your calendars! A workshop on blogs and blogging will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at the Asheboro Public Library. Presented by the library’s K&A Programming, Deep River Communication and sponsored by the Friends of the Library, the program is free and the public is invited. Refreshments will be served.
Potential bloggers will learn how to get started and perform basic blog functions, with on-the spot sign-up available. You'll also learn about the brief history of blogs and their impact on current events and media. Additional details in the Library's newsletter (Adobe PDF).

Cool. These things can have a real impact -- Sandy Carmany's excellent blog was born at a workshop like this.
Sue at Sue's Place and Jay Ovittore are both good facilitators if you are looking for tips.
I've spoken to a lot of groups about this stuff, feel free to email or call if you think it would be useful.
In any case, great work getting this set up, and best of luck with it.
Great idea, Rob.
If you need any help or moral support I'm available.
Ed & Bill-
Thank you both for your offers of support and assistance. Great to see regionalism working for a change. :-)

Good luck - hope there's good turnout, and lots of good discussion. I've listed the event on BlogTogether.org. Let me know about future events and I'll let the BlogTogether list know about them.
