Asheboro Library Workshop Podcast Available
The podcast is up. At 34 MB it's kinda of hefty. For something a little lighter try the PDF of the presentation. I really enjoyed talking to everyone about blogging. Special thanks to Jeff Martin for recording the pod and his time in front of Audacity making it streamable.
My biggest "aha" moment was when of the attendees asked: "Is blogging like writing a letter to the editor?" "Why yes it is", I replied. "But, with none of the time to mail/email it, wait for Editorial approval, meet a specific length, or give your mailing address."
Is there any interest in a follow-up workshop? Maybe setting up a blog? How to comment and/or promote your blog? Let me know.

It is interesting that your "aha" moment involved someone asking about "Letters to the Editor". It sounds like a question born of frustration.
If I had to hazard a guess, the question speaks to the difficulty some have had with getting their letters published in local newspaper(s).
I'd like to see the Courier Tribune jump into the blogosphere in the same way the News & Record has.
On that note, please add my new, but not so new, blog to your list of links:

Oh, to answer your question, another workshop is a great idea - especially in an election year.
